Two goals in the first 13 minutes helped Tadcaster Albion reach the NCEL League Cup fourth round with a 3-1 success over Parkgate.

Connor Sellar made the most of a defensive mix up to strike his first for the Brewers, delicately chipping the ball over Parkgate goalkeeper Andy Higgins.

Albion looked to be strolling into the hat for the fourth round when Adam Baker tapped in Tad's second, after Higgins fumbled Josh Greening's shot from distance.

However, Sheffield-based Parkgate, who have taken four points off Tadcaster in the league this season, responded in the second half with Jake Ashton heading past Gary Stevens.

The Steelmen pushed hard for an equaliser in the second half but it was The Brewers who netted the fourth and final goal of the tie as Jonathan Greening rounded off a sublime counter attack.
