Knaresborough claimed six points in the space of four days this week with back to back victories over Teversal and Lincoln Moorlands Railway.

Walker was instrumental in both victories with his treble delighting the Manse Lane faithful in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Teversal before he notched another against Railway.

The former Harrogate Town youth team player now has ten strikes to his name in the league, and he revealed that boss Paul Stansfield has challenged him to net 15 more.

He said: “It was good to be back playing. I haven’t had a start for a few weeks so it was good to be back in the starting line up and scoring a few goals.

“I just want to keep on scoring goals for Knaresborough and to see where it takes me.

“At the start of the year, Stanners had said for me to score between 20-25 this year. I’m on ten now so that’s still realistic.

“Looking at the table now, we have a couple of games in hand. If we can get a win on Saturday we will be right up there. The others will be looking over their shoulders at us, especially if we keep winning games.”

Walker is likely to be leading the line again as Knaresborough face a trip to 15th-placed Westella VIP on Saturday.
