Here's an assessment of how Simon Weaver's men performed on New Year's Day. PICTURES: MATT KIRKHAM
1.
James Belshaw 8. Didn't have too many difficult saves to make, but the way he commanded his box and came off his line to punch the ball at dangerous moments was key.
2.
Alex Bradley 8. Didn't look a natural in the right-back position initially however he has really grown into the role. Defended well, was good in possession and had a big hand in Town's goal.
3.
Will Smith 8. His best display in a few weeks. Won some important headers inside his own penalty area and helped keep Gime Toure and Nicke Kabamba relatively quiet.
4.
Connor Hall 9. ADVERTISER STAR MAN. Developing into a top quality centre-half. Was superb throughout. Positionally excellent and made numerous important interventions.
