Harrogate Town chalked up a second success in as many pre-season outings when they overcame Farsley Celtic at the CNG Stadium.
Jack Muldoon opened the scoring with just three minutes on the clock, netting his first goal for the club since joining from AFC Fylde earlier this month.
The forward met Ryan Fallowfield’s deep right-wing cross to the back post and nodded home to hand his new team the perfect start.
A fine 30-yard free-kick from the boot of visiting midfielder Ryan Watson levelled things up in the 38th minute, however Dominic Knowles restored the Town advantage almost immediately.
Muldoon centred from the right edge of the penalty area and the home number 10 found himself unmarked inside the six-yard box where he made no mistake with a first-time finish.
Eleven minutes into the second period, Jordan Thewlis was felled inside the box and picked himself up to slot away the resulting spot-kick for 3-1.
Evo-Stik Premier Division outfit Celtic did reduce the deficit in the 68th minute following a goal-mouth scramble, but Town managed to see the game out with their 3-2 lead intact.
Next up for Simon Weaver’s side is a home meeting with Brighouse Town on Tuesday, 7.45pm kick-off.
