Simon Weaver will not be at the EnviroVent Stadium as the Sulphurites go in search of a first win in four League Two outings because he is self-isolating as a Covid-19 precaution.

Town number two Paul Thirlwell will oversee proceedings for the visit of the Red Devils in 42-year-old Weaver's absence.

'Simon Weaver will be absent as we welcome Crawley Town to the Envirovent Stadium this afternoon due to taking precautionary self-isolation,' the club revealed in a statement released less than an hour before kick-off.

Paul Thirlwell will take charge of Town for Saturday's League Two fixture against Crawley.

'The fixture will go ahead as planned, with assistant manager Paul Thirlwell taking charge of the side.

'All necessary precautions have been taken by the Club in line with EFL and government guidelines.'

Town's clash with Crawley kicks-off at 3pm.
