Harrogate Town have leapfrogged promotion rivals North Ferriby United and AFC Fylde after beating Stalybridge Celtic 1-0 at Bower Fold.

Town captain Danny Elis got the game's only goal on the stroke of half-time as he lashed in Paul Clayton's goalbound header from three yards.

North Ferriby scored a late equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw at Hednesford Town, while ten man AFC Fylde lost 3-1 against Lowestoft Town.

Meanwhile, Town have extended the loan deal of Lincoln City defender Nat Brown for another month.

Brown started against Stalybridge alongside Ellis but pulled up injured in the first half and was substituted for Dave McGurk.
