Burrell first signed for Town in 2009 shortly after boss Simon Weaver took over the reins at Wetherby Road.

He has since played for Worksop Town, Leek Town and Sheffield FC - where he linked up with fellow Town midfielder Andy Gascoigne.

Weaver put a seven-days notice for the non-contracted player last week and has got his man in time to face Stalybridge Celtic away on Tuesday evening.

Weaver said: "We are delighted to have Warren on board.

"Warren was with me as a very young player in my first season at Harrogate and showed great potential at the time.

"He has since matured as a player and fits the bill with his athletic ability and attitude.

"We are looking forward to his immediate involvement."
