Both players have held conversations with manager Simon Weaver over the possibility of leaving Town to play regular football.

Kerry, 26, was dropped from the Town squad following the 2-0 defeat against Hednesford Town earlier this month and Weaver has previously said the midfielder was low on confidence.

However, the former Tamworth player is on a two-year contract at Town, and the boss said he still remains a “big part” of the club’s plans in the future.

Weaver switched to a new formation in Saturday’s win over Boston United. Louis Swain moved to left-wing back and, with Craig Nelthorpe in reserve, Meynell was nudged out of the squad.

The boss said: “Rhys is not a left back not a wing back and the change in formation means he is out of the team.

“He said he loves it here but he needs to be playing football so we will look to try and get him something on loan.

“I have had a similar chat with Lloyd. He wants to recover a bit of confidence by playing games.”

Cecil Nyoni became the latest Town signing on Saturday as Weaver took the talent off cash-strapped Goole AFC’s hands.

Former Goole boss Curtis Woodhouse recommended the 22-year-old.

Weaver added: “He made a couple of appearances for Sheffield Wednesday but fell out of the game for some reason.

“He’s got something to prove, and when lads have something to prove they are hungry for success.”
