Harrogate Town door is open for trialists, says Weaver
Weaver welcomed four trialists in the Town squad to face Knaresborough Town on Tuesday night and each one caught the boss’ eye.
Goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson, 22, was released by Huddersfield Town at the end of last season and played the whole of the second half as a replacement for Peter Crook.

Town have not received a firm offer for the keeper but Weaver was keen to keep options open if a sale was made.
Former Sheffield United striker Jordan Armstrong scored Town’s third in the game and has found the net at the CNG Stadium before, having netted for Alfreton Town last season.
Former Leeds United academy player Isaac Assenso, who was on the books at Scunthorpe United last season, also produced a commanding performance in defence although he allowed Gary Collier in behind for Knaresborough's best chance of the evening.

Weaver said: “They have really got to show their qualities straight away.
"We have got a good number now, 18 in the squad an I am not desperate to increase it.
"But there is maybe scope for one or two more, maximum, to really boost us to kick on at the start of the season.
"The door is open at the minute.”
