There was one post-match concern for the team though as top goalscorer Walshaw limped off injured before half-time.
“He turned his ankle in the warm-up and it got progressively worse during the game. Therefore, we took him off as we want him back fit for next week to face Worcester City,” explained Weaver.

He said: “Luke made a very solid debut and showed his aggression and athleticism throughout the game. He also organised others around him well so I’m delighted with his start.”
Looking ahead to the busy schedule over the next six weeks, Weaver seemed intent on not allowing complacency to manifest itself in the dressing room.
