Harrogate Town 3 Notts County 1: National League play-off final player ratings

George Thomson, Connor Hall and Jack Diamond scored the goals in Sunday's National League play-off final triumph, but who shone the brightest for Simon Weaver's team?

James Belshaw 8. Was a spectator for almost the entirety of the first 45. Couldn't have done much about Callum Roberts' free-kick that made it 2-1, but then made a fine save to deny Wes Thomas from point-blank range at 3-1.

Ryan Fallowfield 9. ADVERTISER STAR MAN. The best player on the pitch during the opening period, contributing at both ends. Assisted the opener then won the free-kick that led to number two. Made several important blocks in and around his own area in a typically energetic and committed performance.

Will Smith 8. Did not have a straightforward afternoon up against the imposing physical presence of Kyle Wootton, however the young centre-half stuck to his task and kept getting up and winning headers.

Connor Hall 8. His raking pass from left to right picked out Fallowfield for the opening goal, then he scored his team's second to leave Town in control. Read the game extremely well before the interval, though didn't look as comfortable after it.

Warren Burrell 8. He isn't a left-back, but perhaps the biggest compliment that can be bestowed upon him is that he was so solid and unflappable that you'd never have known it.

George Thomson 9. Played a massive part in setting up Town's victory, scoring the first goal and then laying the second on a plate with an excellent set-piece delivery. Stepped up and showed his class in the biggest game of his career.

Josh Falkingham 8. Found pockets of space to ensure that he was always available for the ball. So brave and so calm in possession while making sure that standards didn't drop around him.

Lloyd Kerry 8. Covered plenty of ground and threw himself into challenges. Was as tenacious as ever and kept his discipline well in the engine room to prevent Notts from ever really getting on top in that area of the pitch.

Jack Diamond 8. Should have had a field day on the huge Wembley pitch. Presented with couple of great opportunities to get at the Notts defence down the left in the first period without making the most of them, however he was better in the second half and broke his neck to get into the box to make it 3-1.

Aaron Martin 8. A really positive performance full of brute force and endeavour that deserved a goal. Unfortunately, he couldn't capitalise on two great openings, but still played his part in a strong team display.

Jack Muldoon 8. Ran the channels all afternoon and was tidy on the ball throughout. Could have scored himself at 2-1, however his cross for Diamond's goal was near-enough inch-perfect.

Jon Stead (on for Martin, 61) 8. Made a real difference when he came on. Helped Town get further up the pitch after a spell stuck inside their own territory. Showed some nice footwork to set Muldoon away to tee-up Diamond. Unluckly not to make it 4-1 in stoppage-time when his shot came back off the inside of a post.
