Here's an assessment of how Simon Weaver's men performed during Tuesday night's League Two clash.

James Belshaw 7 - His awkward fourth-minute clearance led to Mansfield's Ollie Clarke racing though on goal, though the Town stopper redeemed himself with an excellent save. Also did well to keep out Clarke's first-half free-kick.

Warren Burrell 7 - A couple of loose moments in possession during the opening 45, but kept things pretty solid down his side of the pitch for the most part.

Will Smith 7 - A no-nonsense defensive performance from the centre-half. Played a key role in ensuring that the visitors never really had a sniff in the second period.

Connor Hall 8 - Back to something approaching his rock-solid best. Dominant and uncompromising in the air he won plenty of aerial battles and was decisive in his work.

Ed Francis 6 - Was caused a few problems by Stags right-winger Harry Charsley early on, but it shouldn't be forgotten that he isn't a left-back by trade. This was perhaps the first time the central midfielder has looked a bit like a man playing out of position.

Simon Power 7 - Tried to make things happen down the right flank as Town struggled to generate any forward momentum during a disappointing first half. His raw pace is undoubtedly a huge asset, though he probably isn't seeing as much of the ball as he would like. Pulled out of a couple of challenges shortly before being substituted.

George Thomson 7 - A calming influence on this Harrogate team, he passed the ball as tidily as ever and did his best to try and slow things down and help the hosts stay in control of the contest.

Josh Falkingham 7 - Covered a lot of ground in the engine room. Was tenacious out of possession and tried to drive his team-mates on. Taking a boot to the face in the 89th minute only served to underline his commitment to the Harrogate cause.

Josh McPake 5 - The first period did not go well for the Glasgow Rangers loanee as he lost the ball almost every time he got it. He did however stick to his task and made a bit more of an impression down the left wing after half-time.

Aaron Martin 8 - Won a few headers during the first 45 without really making much of an impact but he was a different animal after the break. Scored a lovely goal with a sweetly-struck volley and used his strength to bully Stags defenders, providing a platform in the final third that his team needed.

Josh March 7 - Was the Sulphurites' brightest player before the interval, engineering one chance out of nothing and drawing a save out of Aidan Stone. Created indecision in the Mansfield back-line to help set-up Martin's match-winning goal and looked a constant threat thereafter.

Lloyd Kerry (on for Power, 63) 7 - Superb in helping Town wrap up the three points. Added a bit of extra bite in the middle of the pitch, and got himself into a number of good positions to break up Stags attacks and get his own side back on the ball.

Dan Jones (on for Francis, 71) 6 - Made a welcome return at left-back following his long injury lay-off. Saw a fair amount of the ball and delivered a couple of useful balls forwards.

Jack Muldoon (on for March, 76) N/A.

Mark Beck (on for Martin, 76) N/A.
