Here's an assessment of how Simon Weaver's team performed against the Red Devils at the EnviroVent Stadium.

James Belshaw 8 - ADVERTISER STAR MAN. Kept Harrogate in the game with two important first-half stops, plus an excellent double-save early in the second period. Came out and caught crosses with confidence and was also vocal throughout.

Ryan Fallowfield 7 - His absence in recent weeks has only served to underline the right-back's importance to this team. Not at his absolute best, but Town looked better defensively and more effective going forward with the ex-Hull City trainee back in the side. The intensity and energy that he brings is irreplaceable. Cleared one off his own line, too.

Jake Lawlor 8 - Had big shoes to fill given the form of Will Smith over the last 12 months, but slotted in seamlessly alongside Connor Hall at centre-half. Crawley were able to create too many chances, though Lawlor looked solid throughout, winning his headers, reading the game well and making some important interventions.

Connor Hall 7 - Like Lawlor, he did his own job pretty well and matched his central defensive partner's performance level over the course of the 90 minutes. He was however partly responsible for Crawley's goal as he and Warren Burrell left a loose ball to one another.

Warren Burrell 6 - It's not his fault that he isn't left-footed, but he wasn't able to offer anything going forwards from the full-back position. His mix-up with Hall also led to the visitors breaking the deadlock.

George Thomson 7- Benefited from the return of Fallowfield down his side of the pitch. Looked after the ball in the final third and produced some very good set-piece deliveries.

Tom Walker endured a difficult afternoon on the left flank and was replaced at half-time.Tom Walker endured a difficult afternoon on the left flank and was replaced at half-time.

Josh Falkingham 7 - A number of uncharacteristic loose passes in each half. Wasn't able to boss proceedings as he so often does, though did his best to ensure that the players around him kept trying to pass the ball. Went close with a sixth-minute effort and almost set up Jack Muldoon at 0-0.

Lloyd Kerry 6 - Didn't fare too well in the first period. Better in the second. Almost got Town back on terms with a long-range strike that Crawley goalkeeper Stuart Nelson made a mess of.

Tom Walker 5 - Gave the ball away or lost possession at least five times inside the opening 27 minutes, including two occasions in the build-up to the visitors' goal. Looked to be struggling for confidence thereafter and it was no surprise when he was replaced at half-time.

Jack Muldoon 7 - Dropped off to link the play to good effect on a couple of occasions early on, but became a peripheral figure towards the end of the first 45 as his team-mates resorted to hopeful long balls. More involved after the break and bagged the all-important equaliser.

Aaron Martin made a positive impression as a half-time substitute.Aaron Martin made a positive impression as a half-time substitute.

Brendan Kiernan 6 - Started up front and his early shot looked as if it was on its way into the back of the net before a defender diverted it behind for a corner. Undoubtedly caused Crawley problems when he ran at defenders, and while there were a number of bright moments, end product is required.

Substitutes:

Aaron Martin (on for Walker, 46) 7 - Introduced at half-time and added some much needed physical presence to Town's front-line. Enabled the hosts to compete aerially with the visiting centre-halves and provided a focal point. Will be claiming an assist after his flick-on from Dan Jones' throw-in teed-up Muldoon to level matters.

Dan Jones (on for Burrell 76) 7 - Harrogate looked more balanced when he took over at left-back. His long throw-ins would prove crucial to the home team getting back in the game, while he also nearly bagged a late winner when his cross beat everyone and came back off the woodwork.

Connor Kirby (on for Kerry 76) 6 - Could have sent a team-mate clean through on goal at the death had he got the weight of his pass right.
