The 24-year-old opened his account for Darlington with a penalty on Saturday.

However, Railway boss Billy Miller is confident his side have the tools to contain the striker’s potent ability in and around the six-yard box.

Miller said: “Football has a habit of throwing things up like this, it should be a great day.

“We will welcome Carts back because he was brilliant for us for three seasons.

“No one has denied him his move as it was a big feather in the cap for the club.

“It’s not a case of coping with Carts. Darlington are a really good team and he will just become one player in another team.

“But if anyone knows his strengths, then we do. We know how good he is, but the delivery has to be right for him.”

The fallen Northerners have the largest following in Evo-Stik First Division North, and a repeat of last season’s 1,024 attendance is anticipated at Station View.

Miller added: “I would encourage anyone in the Harrogate area to come and have a look at our club.

“Station View is going to be packed to the rafters”

Railway will look to bounce back after they were held to a 1-1 draw at bottom club Padiham on Saturday, new signing Jerry Yates scoring Rail’s goal.

The result saw them drop out of the play-off zone.
