The former Leeds United youngster tops the Evo-Stik Northern League First Division North scoring charts after hitting the net 16 times in league action, while also four more in cup competitions.

And with the hitman just two goals away from surpassing last year’s tally - despite the season only being three months old - Miller challenged him to break all the scoring record books.

Rail’s manager said: “If he can get to 25 before Christmas, which he probably will do, that would be a massive bonus.

“Then maybe 30-35 until the end of the season if he stays fit. That’s the good thing about Carts, he just never gets injured.

“It’s great to have him in the squad. Him, Robbie Youhill and Malachi, that’s quite some forward line.”

Railway now sit firmly in mid-table but Miller warned against complacency ahead of Saturday’s trip to Radcliffe Borough, prior to Tuesday’s cup clash against Goole AFC (7.45pm).

Borough have been the league’s draw specialists this year, with eight matches shared - five of which were at home.

On Saturday’s tie, Miller said: “The key for us now is consistency.

“We now need to go to Borough and put in the same sort of shift. If we don’t, they are more than capable of beating us.

“They beat us last year there. It will mean nothing if we don’t go to Radcliffe on Saturday and put in a similar sort of shift. We have certainly got goals in the side, there’s no doubt about that. If we can keep a clean sheet, we have half a chance.”
