Bradford City teenager Chandler Hallwood produced a heroic save to secure Harrogate Railway a vital point at promotion chasing Northwich Victoria.

Jack Stockdill cancelled out Richie Bennettt's strike with only one minute of normal remaining for Railway before Hallwood made his mark.

The new Railway goalkeeper stopped Mike Roddy's effort from 12 yards to boost the club's hopes of beating the drop over the next two months.

Railway remain two points inside the drop zone as their main relegation rivals Ossett Town drew 2-2 against Lancaster City, allowing a two-goal cushion to slide in the second half.

Youhill almost put Railway ahead as he galloped through before Chris Ovington hit a shot straight at the keeper from the edge of the box.

Northwich came closest to scoring in a goalless first half when Gary Burnett's effort was saved comfortably by Hallwood.

The hosts broke Railway's stubborn resistance on 66 minutes when Richie Bennett fired home from close range after a deflected shot made its way to him.

Young Bradford City player Daniel Devine almost equalised ten minutes later but his strike was palmed away.

Hallwood, also a trainee at the Bantams, the produced a fine fingertip stop to deny Bennett's goalbound header.

The levelled came with only one minute on the clock as substitute Stockdill headed home Ovington's quality free-kick.

All of Railway's hard work looked to have come to nothing when the referee awarded Vics a spot-kick in time added on.

But Hallwood earned his stripes between the sticks to save Roddy's effort and give Railway their fourth point in two games.
