Former Leeds United and Harrogate footballer Lenighan sees assault case adjourned for second time
Simon Lenighan, 21, of Parliament Terrace, was released on bail after the case was adjourned for a second time at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The footballer, who played for Harrogate Town last season, is charged with two counts of assault by beating and two counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.

Hide AdHe allegedly assaulted a woman on Union Street, Harrogate on February 27, 2015 – six days after he was sent on loan to Alfreton Town from Harrogate Town.
Lenighan pleaded not guilty on all four charges at a plea hearing in June before the trial was adjourned in August.
Magistrate Mr Wicks adjourned the case for a second time when a fellow magistrate recognised the midfielder.
The former Leeds United youth team captain, who signed for Frickley Athletic in the summer, will reappear at Harrogate Magistrates Court on December 3.
