Harrogate Town will play Isthmian outfit Hastings United at home in the second round of the FA Cup.
The Wetherby Road men take on the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, who play a division below Town, on the weekend of December 1-2.
The draw was made live in front of the Sky Sports cameras at the Ninteen Nineteen bar at the CNG Stadium on Sunday, and gives Town a more than decent chance at reaching the third round against possible Premier League opposition.
Town made history on Saturday when they beat League Two hosts Torquay United 1-0 on the English Riviera.
It’s the first time they have reached this stage of the competition, having been knocked out by Torquay seven years ago on penalties after a first round replay.
Striker Chib Chilaka was the hero of the day, pouncing on a slip by defender Kevin Nicholson to latch on to Tom Platt’s ball and score the only goal of the game.
The ex-Bradford City man is looking forward to the next round of the competition.
“It is a great tie for both clubs,” he said.
“To get to the third round would be amazing and I think a draw like this opens that up as a possibility.”
