Blackburn Rovers offer academy chance to Harrogate Town youngster Rob Worrall


But the teenager will have to wait until his current loan deal at Harrogate Railway ends before linking up with the youth teams at Ewood Park.
Worrall was contracted at the CNG Stadium over the summer after rising up through Town’s youth ranks and impressing boss Simon Weaver.

Hide AdHe was given the opportunity to gain match experience at Station View at the end of September, before extending his stay at Railway last month.
Blackburn watched the teenager feature in Railway’s 3-0 defeat at Clitheroe on Saturday and approached Weaver earlier this week.
The midfielder was due to feature for Rovers against Liverpool U18s on Saturday but will now have to wait until November 20 before joining the former Premier League outfit.
The Town boss said: “He is always ahead of the game and his vision is 360 degrees.

“This opportunity has come out of the blue, but we had to say yes. It’s a great opportunity for him.”
