The League Two newcomers beat Tranmere Rovers on penalties in Saturday's first-round clash at Prenton Park, their first-ever outing as a Football League club.

And Town captain Josh Falkingham, the man who converted the decisive spot-kick to seal an 8-7 shoot-out success, says that being handed a trip to tackle the Baggies on September 15 has gone down very well with his team-mates.

"As a group of lads, obviously a tie against a Premier League club away from home was exactly what we were looking for, so we couldn't be any happier," he told the Harrogate Advertiser.

"We were all watching the draw and everybody is absolutely buzzing, it's a fantastic draw.

"As footballers, it's brilliant to have the opportunity to test ourselves against the big boys, a Premier League team in a fantastic stadium.

"It was a great start to the season to go and beat Tranmere away in the first round and now we can look forward to the reward of playing West Brom.

"Everything is just going so well for us at the moment and this draw is just another great thing to add to promotion and winning at Wembley [in the National League play-off final]. We're on a rollercoaster and we've just got to keep riding that wave."

Should Town beat West Brom, they will face the winner of Premier League Southampton's clash with Championship Brentford at home in round three.
