Yorkshire CCC release Harrogate batsman Jonny Tattersall

The 20-year-old made his one and only Yorkshire appearance against Glamorgan at the end of the 2013 season, however he was dismissed for a second ball duck.

Yorkshire have also released pace bowler Moin Ashraf and wicketkeeper batsman Dan Hodgson.

Tattersall, who came through the junior set-up of Knaresborough CC, enjoyed a fruitful year for Harrogate ending the season as the top runscorer in the Yorkshire League, scoring a total of 1,347 runs.

But opportunities to impress for the White Rose have been limited and he has struggled to make an impact in the county’s second team this summer.

Tattersall failed to score a half-century for the second team over the course of the season.

Renowned for his excellent fielding ability, he has substituted for the England senior side at Headingley on a number of occasions.

The Knaresborough born right-hander’s highlight came in 2014 when he vice-captained England under 19s at the ICC World Cup in the UAE where he helped his country reach the semi-finals.

Ashraf, a right-arm seamer, leaves the Club after five years in which he made 21 First-class appearances taking 43 wickets.

Wicketkeeper batsman Hodgson joined Yorkshire in 2012 and kept wicket during Yorkshire’s appearance at the 2012 T20 Champions League in South Africa.
