He’s now taken 43 wickets this term, but Tadcaster Magnet seamer Paul Clark doesn’t want to stop there.
An eye-watering 7-17 on Saturday against local rivals Thorp Arch & Boston Spa stepped up their charge to win promotion from Division Two this term.
Next on the agenda for Magnet is a trip to Dringhouses on Saturday.
“We’ve just got to keep going,” said Clark.
“There’s a lot of confidence in the squad at the moment. Winning is a habit, but there’s still a lot of cricket to be played.”
On Saturday, Clark and Jon Hill (2-16) combined to bowl out the visitors for just 65.
In response Magnet pulled home for a nine-wicket win.
“I just think in the area we are a very good side,” continued Clark.
“Just because it was a local derby we really raised our game. We are playing well at the moment.”
As for his own personal achievement, Clark has eyes on his next target.
“I’ve got 43 wickets already, to get 43 in a season is a good effort, to do it when we’ve missed a lot of games is great,” he continued.
“It would be great to get over 50.”
Meanwhile, the club is holding a race night tomorrow, 7.30pm start, £3 entry which will include a pie and pea supper.
John Wetherhill, Andy Shann and Paddy Greenwood will be running the popular event.
There will be a number of prizes available on the night.
Organisers would like to thank all the sponsors who have donated money.
