Beckwithshaw continue to march on at the top of the Aire-Wharfe League after back-to-back victories over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Harrogate rivals Bilton were put to the sword by six wickets on Saturday before Alex Lilley’s men won for a six time this season by beating Ilkley by 115 runs on Monday.
Eugene Burzler (6/37) was the chief destroyer as ‘Shaw ruined the Bilton batting card as captain Vic Craven (71) was the only batsman to pass 20 in a total of 144.
Alexis Twigg (46) and Ross Sedgley (42) ensured ‘Shaw had little trouble surpassing the score, winning in 32.5 overs.
Monday’s fixtures saw Beckwithshaw demolish Ilkley by 115-runs to move ten points clear at the top of Division One with a trip to Burley-in-Wharfedale next up.
Burzler was again the star man as he topscored with 56 in Shaw’s 216/9. Three wickets apiece for Istikhar Hussain and James Lilley ousted Ilkley for just 101.
Horsforth are placed second after a 101-run victory over Collingham, with overseas Byron Boshoff scoring 111 and Oli Hardaker 56 against his former club.
Toby Jacklin took 4/67 and topscored with 41 for Collingham.
Bilton responded to Saturday’s defeat with a final over three-wicket win at home to Rawdon (213/7). Ryan Bradshaw was the hero of the afternoon with a match-winning 96 that included four sixes.
In Division Two, Knaresborough beat Thackley by five wickets on Monday to follow up a 62-run win over neighbours Follifoot two days previous.
Sam Davies’ six-wicket haul was backed up by four for Andy Ward as Thackley collapsed from 58/1 to 123 all out. Ward scored 48 in the reply.
Dave Girling (4/22) did the damage against Follifoot, who were all out for 116 in reply to 178.
Follifoot also suffered defeat on Monday by 112 runs at Skipton.
Umer Yaqoob had snatched five wickets in Skipton’s 211 all out but ‘Foot fell for 99 in the second innings.
In Division Three, Bardsey (183) lost to Tong Park Esholt (186/6) by four wickets on Monday .
Matt Wells’ side (110) lost by five wickets against Horsforth Hall Park (113/5) on Saturday in a low-scoring affair.
