BARDSEY moved a step closer to back-to-back titles after wiping aside nearest rivals STUDLEY ROYAL and avenging their Addison Cup defeat last week.
The Keswick Laners amassed 193-6 with BaBar Butt (63) and M Naveed (67) getting most of them. Royal were then all out for 92. K Ahmed scalping 3-7.
HARROGATE picked up a win at SHADWELL who made 143-6 with Harpal Singh (64) top scoring. Ross Sedgley (68no) and Richard Burcher (42) brought ‘Gate home by seven wickets.
KNARESBOROUGH A swept aside BISHOP THORNTON who were all out for 71 thanks to Andy Ward’s 3-14. Dave Girling (43no) brought ‘Boro’ home on 73-1.
PATELEY BRIDGE travelled home with a win under their belts against FOLLIFOOT. ‘Bridge made 153-7 with M Eglin (37) top scoring.
Scott Thompson made 43 not out in reply but ‘Foot were all out for 123.
WHIXLEY overcame GALPHAY & WINKSLEY. They made 125-6 with S Venville making 46 and Richard Ward 37. Ward then took 4-13 as Galphay were all out for 93, Nick Harland hitting 30.
BIRSTWITH A pulled the hood over BLUBBERHOUSES. Jonny Millward (83) and Pete Hardisty (59no) saw them to 166-4. Mark McEneaney hit 64 in reply but ‘Houses fell short on 148-8.
In the night’s most exciting game HAMPSTHWAITE beat NEWBY HALL in a clash that included two centurians.
First it was the turn of Newby’s David Kelly to shine. He hit a fine 111 red inker with support from Grant Leivers (33) as they made 202-5.
But then Andy Taylor (35), Richard Barrett (32) and a stunning 106 from Josh Amsterdam brought ‘Thwaite home on 203-5 with two balls to spare.
DACRE BANKS conceded their match against SPOFFORTH.
BURTON LEONARD A made 128-7 with Kiel Johnson (34) and Neil Blaken (41) getting the runs. M Thomas (50) and Warren Else (63) pulled CARR MANOR home on 129-1.
Cameron Pitt (63), Wasim Akram (38) and Jack Grafton (37) got BURNT YATES to 176-6 against LITTLE RIBSTON who closed on 119-8. Ted Daniels making 56.
MARTON CUM GRAFTON did the business chasing down RIPLEY’S 139-7. Aussie Jase Wiley pulled his weight with 80 as Ripley made 139-7 in the face of Oliver Newby’s 3-18.
But Ben Jones (66) and Henry Lord (30) cut the mustard in reply as Marton were home four down.
Geoff Weir (44), Tom Beasley (38) and Jonathon Corcoran (68) hit the runs in KNARESBOROUGH B’s 169-4. DARLEY were close but fell short on 130-6 in reply, C Gill (51) top scoring.
ARTHINGTON (92-2, D Main 48) beat SCOTTON (86-8, Andrew Robinson 4-19) by eight wickets.
SCARCROFT’S Damien Aston cracked 83 not out to see his side past GOLDSBOROUGH’S 123-6 for the loss of two wickets.
Charles Hutchinson (71no), Tony Sidwell (55) and Phil Evans (49no) batted BISHOP MONKTON to 185-1.
R Nelson made 44 for his BIRSTWITH B team in reply but they were well short on 112-5.
Sam Crompton’s fine 70 was the benchmark for BURTON LEONARD B’s 152-4. MARKINGTON then accrued 99-3 with Peter Johnson (46no) top scorer.
KILLINGHALL’S J Lancaster (66no) and G Fish (68no) top scored in their 173-2. STAVELEY then closed on 132-7.
NORTH STAINLEY posted 127-4 against SHAROW with A Griffin (62no) in the runs and T Baines (3-27) doing the damage.
J Kelly took 3-20 in reply but 62 from Ahilan Sivakurmaran saw Sharow home.
RIPON pulled off an easy win over KNARESBOROUGH FOREST. Shaun Easy (43) and M Walters (33) saw them to 150-5. M Wilkinson (55) tried his best in reply but they were short on 102-6.
RIPLEY B beat LITTLE RIBSTON.
They made 148-6 with D Lloyd (36) and R Miller (33no) getting the runs. Ribston closed on 102-7.
