Nestled in 28 acres of wonderful grounds, in the heart of North Yorkshire’s stunning countryside near Ripon, Cundall Manor School offers a lively environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.
The school provides an inspirational setting for learning, complete with fantastic sporting facilities and a daily bus service that connects pupils from across the region.
This September and October, Cundall Manor is welcoming prospective families to two Open Mornings. These events offer parents and children a unique opportunity to experience first-hand what makes the school so special. As visitors explore the beautiful grounds, they'll hear directly from the pupils about what life at Cundall Manor is really like—days filled with adventure, discovery, and learning.
Cundall Manor provides a seamless education from Nursery at age two right through to GCSEs. This continuity ensures smooth transitions between the various stages of education, fostering stability and confidence in pupils. At the heart of the school’s ethos is a family-like atmosphere where every pupil is recognised and supported as an individual. Teachers at Cundall Manor are deeply committed to their pupils’ success where the teaching is tailored to the child and not the class.

A school with energy
The school’s personalised approach to learning not only enhances academic achievement but also builds self-confidence and supports mental well-being. Small class sizes allow for a flexible curriculum, with lessons that often extend beyond the classroom. Imagine learning trigonometry in the Wild Acre Wood, or scaling the heights of Ben Nevis in Year 8. Whether it’s completing the Three Peaks Challenge in a day or learning to Sail in Cowes, Cundall Manor pupils are constantly encouraged to explore, grow, and develop a love for learning through co-curriculuar activities.
“There’s an energy about the school, a huge sense of fun and adventure, combined with truly superb teaching and a culture where pupils thrive,” shares a parent, highlighting the exceptional environment at Cundall Manor.

Remarkably, Cundall Manor is broadly non academically selective, yet its pupils consistently achieve outstanding results. The recent 50% increase in Grade 9s at GCSE is a testament to the school’s ability to unlock each pupil’s full potential. Despite the disruptions of the Pandemic in recent years, Cundall Manor pupils have not only met but exceeded expectations, having fully embraced all that the school has offer. This balanced approach, which values sports, creativity, and academics equally, ensures all pupils are well prepared to succeed in an ever-changing world.
