Children's toys recalled over safety fears
Recalls were issued for two different toys this week after risks to safety were identified.
In the case of one toy, the European Commission released a warning after it was revealed it contained a chemical damaging to the future reproductive health of children.

Hide AdParents are being urged to stop their children playing with the Nerf Battle Racers go-kart immediately after it was discovered a faulty steering wheel could cause potential harm to young children.
The steering wheels were found to detach, break or crack during use and as a result could pose a laceration or collision hazard.
Smyths Toys has now issued a recall for the affected go-karts and advised parents to contact manufacturer, Hauch Toys, for a replacement wheel.
Trading Standards UK said: 'To confirm whether your Battle Racer Steering Wheel is subject to the recall, look at the product sticker below the seat. If your product has a date of manufacture between 1 January 2016 and 31 March 2017.'

Hide AdThe European Commission has also issued a recall for the popular Shatchi Finger Monkey after it too was discovered to pose a serious risk to the health of children.
The phthalate chemical, found in the orange and multicoloured finger monkey, was found to cause potential damage to children's reproductive systems.
Finger monkeys with the bar code 5056141013589 should stop being played with immediately and returned to the store of purchase.
