Letter: This is hardly a service at all for our area

Transdev’s new ‘Little Explorer’ yellow buses on routes 22 and 23 (to replace routes 56 and 57) sound interesting but for Calcutt inhabitants they will be as rare as seeing a canary in the hedgerows as there are to be a mere four buses per day to and from Harrogate.

It’s hardly worthy of the name ‘service’ and contrasts very badly with the main road route to Harrogate through Starbeck which seems to have over 10 buses per hour each way.

Why is it not possible for Transdev and Connexions between them to run at least one bus per hour via Calcutt so that residents might have some semblance of a bus service?
