Letter - Harrogate needs a Mothercare

Our family will miss Mothercare.

My mother remembers shopping there over 30 years ago with her mum and now she’s done the same with me shopping for my little one.

I don’t think the location within the shopping centre has helped Mothercare, it has really been tucked away with a lot less footfall than the actual high street.

It’s a small shop too, I don’t think having less variety helped it.

We know how much it will be missed.

Not looking forward to driving all the the way to Leeds or York for my baby essentials now.

A bigger Mothercare is what is really needed that sells all essentials including cots, car seats, and a full range of maternity clothes.

Let’s hope Mothercare HQ has a change of heart and re-locates it elsewhere in Harrogate.

Harrogate needs a Mothercare!
