World's biggest rap star to play Leeds Festival

A big, big rap star is among the latest additions to this year's Leeds Festival line-up.

Running from August 25-27, the headliners at Bramham Park for 2017 now include Grammy Award-winning rap legend Eminem who last played the festival in 2013.

The man, whose albums of the early noughties such as The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show sold so many copies they were certified diamond, rather than platinum,,joins Kasabian and Muse as a headliner on the main stage.

As recently as 2010 Eminem's Recovery was the single biggest-selling album of 2010 worldwide.

Other new names just announced for this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals include HAIM, Blossoms, You Me At Six, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Bear's Den, Lethal Bizzle, Ray BLK, Marshmello, Mallory Knox, Billy Talent and Everything Everything.

Local northern bands who have also joined the bill including Marmozets, The Sherlocks and Cabbage.

Acts confirmed previously include Bastille, Wiley, Circa Waves, At The Drive In, Jimmy Eat World, Two Door Cinema Club and Fatboy Slim.
