Woman hit by a bus in Harrogate treated in A&E

The 48-year-old, who has been named as Paula Thompson, is being treated for bruises at Harrogate Hospital’s A&E, a spokesman confirmed.

Mrs Thompson will not, however, be admitted to the hospital and will be returning home later today.

She was taken to Harrogate Hospital by a Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) rapid response team responding to a call at 7.04am.

Police confirmed they too were called to the scene at the bus station before Mrs Thompson was taken to hospital.
