Where to watch the Wimbledon final in Harrogate

After an exciting two weeks of tennis, Wimbledon will come to a close on Sunday with a nail-biting final.

1. Montpellier Hill, Harrogate.

If Murray holds his nerve we are bound to see a repeat of summer 2013 when thousands of tennis fans watched Murray beat Djokovicin straight sets on the giant cinema screen set up for the Harrogate International Festivals.

Pack a picnic and make the most of the summer weather (hopefully) but get there early to bag the best spots.

2. Alexandra Pub, Prospect Place, Harrogate.

This popular pub can also be relied on as a busy spot to watch all the major sporting events. With a giant screen spanning almost the entire back wall and TVs dotted around the pub you won’t miss any of the action.

3. Wetherby Food Festival, The Ings, Wetherby, LS22 5FN, Adults: £3.

Back for its second year the Wetherby Food Festival will have it’s own Wimbledon tent with the final broadcast live on big screens. Enjoy a snack from one of the 80 stalls of local producers in the festival or grab a meal from one of the street food stands.

4. Your own front room, anywhere.

Unlike the Ashes the BBC has broadcast Wimbledon exclusively for almost 80 year and last year 17million people tuned in to watch the final. Stock up the fridge, invite your neighbours for a barbeque and make the most of watching one of world’s best sporting events from your sofa.
