A yellow warning for snow has been issued for North Yorkshire and the Met Office has said there could be disruption to travel.

However the forecast is far from certain at this stage, the chief forecaster said: “Given the finely-balanced nature of the situation, even at this stage details remain very uncertain regarding the extent and amount of snowfall, in particular the northward extent into northern England. Indeed some areas will miss the snow altogether.”
