Heatwave on the way for Harrogate district this week as temperatures set to soar
It's good news for the people of Harrogate this week - temperatures are set to hit the high 20s with strong sunny spells.
With a heatwave on the way for the whole of the UK, the district is set for a scorcher.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, sees highs of 25 degrees C, while Wednesday, Thursday and Friday can see temperatures reaching 27.
Chances of rain are also set to be below 10% until the weekend, with little cloud cover expected.
But hayfever sufferers beware, as the pollen count will be very high for the rest of the week.
With some lockdown restrictions being eased in recent weeks by the Government, there is no doubt that Harrogate's beauty spots will be busy with sunbathers and people enjoying picnics as temperatures skyrocket.
But people are being warned that social distancing rules still apply and the guidelines must still be adhered to.
