Van’s windows smashed and tyres damaged with a nail gun


Police are hunting for a van driver who is believed to have blocked a road in Harrogate, smashed the windows of a van and damaged its tyres with a nail gun.

Officers have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident of criminal damage on East Parade on Tuesday, December 29 at around 10.15am.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “During the incident, a white Ford Transit van had all its windows smashed using an object and the tyres damaged using a nail gun.

“Witnesses report seeing the suspect in a small white van, possibly with words on the side, possibly including ‘TC’.

“The writing is described as being in italics font.

“The suspect is reported to have been sounding the horn of his van numerous times and apparently blocked the road using his van during the incident.”

The suspect is described as a white male, around 6ft tall, of medium build, wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a grey hooded top, with the hood up.
