Members of Harrogate Borough Council’s Parks and Environmental Services were presented with a Harrogate MUMbler award for the category.

The Valley Gardens competed with Billy Bob’s Ice Cream Parlour, Newby Hall and Gardens, RHS Harlow Carr and Stockeld Park to win the title.

Comments left by people voting for the Valley Gardens included: “It’s perfect in every way” and “It's an amazing free attraction in Harrogate”.

Patrick Kilburn, Head of Parks and Environmental Services, said: “It’s always great to know that when you work on something and provide services day in and day out that they are really appreciated.

“Thank you to everyone who voted for Valley Gardens as their favourite place to take their children on a trip out.”
