A taxi and a school bus carrying 59 pupils were involved in a crash on the outskirts of Harrogate this morning.
The incident happened on the A59 Skipton road at the junction with Rowden Lane, Hampsthwaite, at around 8.20am.
The 620H school bus, operated by Murgatroyds, was carrying pupils from both Rossett School and Harrogate Grammar.
The pupils and the driver of the bus were uninjured in the minor collision, however they were left shaken by the incident.
The white minibus taxi was a carrying a child and an adult. Both passengers and the driver were taken Harrogate District hospital with minor injuries.
The road was closed for around two hours, causing traffic to build up during rush hour.
Rossett School headteacher Helen Woodcock said: “Following a collision involving a school bus carrying Rossett students, all our students arrived safely at school.
“A replacement bus arrived within half an hour and the students were brought to school, where staff spoke to them and offered any support they needed. Parents were notified by the school.
“We are grateful to North Yorkshire Police for responding swiftly to the collision.”
