Two drivers taken to hospital after Harrogate head-on collision

Police are appealing for information after the drivers of two vehicles suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision near Harrogate.

The drivers of a black VW Golf and a white Audi A3 collided at around 12.50pm on Friday January 29 and were both taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The Golf was travelling from Wetherby Road south along Rudding Lane when the Audi travelling in the opposite direction crashed head-on on a sharp bend near the entrance of Rudding Park Hotel.

The Audi had joined Rudding Lane at its junction with Pannal Road.

Any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who noticed either vehicle shortly before the incident, is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, and ask for Mark Mullins.
