Teenager trapped after crash in Starbeck


A teenage driver was trapped in his vehicle after crashing his car into a shop front in Starbeck.

The 18-year-old crashed his Ford Fiesta into a shop front on Starbeck High Street.

Fire crews from Harrogate were forced to cut the roof off the car to free the man.

He suffered head, thorax and leg injuries in the smash which left the car crumpled on the pavement.

He was taken by ambulance to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threateneing.

Fire crews were called to the scene by paramedics at around 7 am on the morning of Saturday December 21.
