Ripon motorcyclist injured in crash

The 59-year-old was riding a red Ducati motocycle which was involved in a collision with a white Vauxhall Astra van at the North Cowton crossroads on the B1263 on Wednesday, September 24, at 12.30pm. Both vehicles were travelling towards Darlington.

The woman was taken to the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton, where she remains in a stable condition.

Traffic Constable Tony Leonard, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said: “If you witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles involved just prior to the incident, I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away.”
