Man left hospitalised after motorbike crash in Harrogate

A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital this morning after crashing his motorbike on Leeds Road.

The male rider was involved in the single vehicle collision at 6.45am at Leeds Road by Tewit Well Avenue.

A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance were sent to the scene from Yorkshire Ambulance as well as officers from North Yorkshire Police.

The driver was then taken to Harrogate District Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be serious.

The collision caused a build up of traffic on the A61 before being cleared after an hour.
