Major Harrogate district road closed as vehicle loses portacabin

Highways England has said the A1(M) has been closed between Junction 49 and Junction 50 as a vehicle has lost its portacabin.

The closure is between Dishworth and Baldersby Interchange and Highways has now said the closure will be in place for another few hours.

The recovery of the vehicle is said to be taking longer due to strong winds.

Highways has also said it is completing repairs to the road the same time.

Motorists are being diverted to follow the A168 and full diversion routes are available on the Highways website, www.m.highwaysengland.co.uk/#news
