Launch of new scenic bus route from Harrogate to Skipton every Saturday

The Harrogate Bus Company has announced it will be running a new route between Harrogate and Skipton in partnership with DalesBus.

The scenic link, number 59, will run every Saturday from May 22.

It will be a double decker bus and will offer a number of great places to stop off along the way - from countryside walks to pubs (or a bit of both if you want to make a day of it).

The bus will follow the A59 and the company says the views will show "Yorkshire at its best".

The route will call at: The Millstones, Blubberhouses for Fewston Reservoir, The Devonshire Arms for Bolton Abbey, Bolton Abbey Station for the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway, and Skipton Bus Station.

There are four journeys each way leaving Harrogate at 9.45am, 11.45am, 2.45pm and 4.45pm and leaving Skipton at 10.40am, 12.40pm, 3.40pm and 5.40pm

The DalesBus 825 Sunday buses also start on 16 May, linking Knaresborough and Harrogate with some amazing destinations including: Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Masham, Jervaulx Abbey, Leyburn and Richmond.

And there's more good news - the 24 service to Pateley Bridge will also return on Sundays from May 16, with support from DalesBus.
