Drivers and residents in Knaresborough are again able to use Conyngham Hall car park after repair work was finished ahead of schedule.
The car park was re-opened four days ahead of schedule after essential repair work to improve the car park was completed Monday, 27 March.
HBC invested £97,000 for the repairs that led to the car park's closure on Monday, March 14. The council claim the dates were selected at a quieter time of the year to cause the least disruption.
Dean Richardson, Harrogate Borough Council’s Head of Safer Communities said: “We are pleased to have completed the planned work at Conyngham Hall car park ahead of schedule.
“The car park was way past its useful life and the surface was in very poor condition. Rather than undertaking temporary repairs, we felt that we needed to invest in its redevelopment so that it would be fit for purpose in the future.
“We have created a car park that will make a real difference for the people using it and which gives the right impression when they visited the town.
“We were careful to schedule the work at a quieter time of year, when the car park is less busy and we would like to thank users and businesses nearby for their patience and understanding whilst we undertook this work.”
