The last week has already seen drivers in the crucial Knaresborough Road route into Harrogate hit, originally, by a total road closure at Forest Lane Head and, currently, by the introduction of four-way traffic controls at the same location.

Now Bogs Lane is to be closed entirely at its top end where it feeds into Starbeck High Street and Forest Lane.

The reasons for the latest Bogs Lane closure can be viewed on highways authority North Yorkshire County Council's interactive roadworks map online:

Motorists be suffering but spare a thought for residents in the Bogs Lane/Kingsley area have now faced a year of virtually non-stop road closures and disruption caused by a wave of new housing developments and the vital utility works that accompanies them, mainly involving Yorkshire Water.
