Harrogate house fire rescue

A man was rescued by fire fighters after a blaze at a house on Kings Road yesterday (Sunday November 30).

Two men were in the house when a fire broke out in a ground floor bedroom of the terraced house. One managed to escape while the other was led to safety by fire fighters.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance for a check up.

Two fire engines from Harrogate and one from Knaresborough were called out to deal with the fire which started at around 2.50pm.

Fire fighters used breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.

The cause is under investigation but not believed to be suspicious.
