Firefighters rescue man trapped in home near Knaresborough after conservatory fire
A man has been rescued after a fire broke out in his home near Knaresborough.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service were called to Woolwich Cottage in Brearton at around 12pm on Thursday, October 27.
Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough arrived to find a man trapped inside the building after a fire broke out in the conservatory.
The man was rescued by the crews and needed breathing apparatus. Firefighters then extinguished the fire, which originated from an appliance, using a hose reel jet.
