Something of a long-standing Harrogate institution, the couple are set to bring their enduring success at William & Vics to Carriages which sits quantly in a listed building above a Victorian train tunnel.

It sounds like a marriage made in heaven. The Strakers' successful approach has always been to work closely with local suppliers to source the best in local seasonal produce, offering extensive menus at Williams & Vics which keep pace with modern trends while still offering good British cooking with portions to satisfy Yorkshire appetites.

Carriages is well known for serving supreme British and European cuisine alongside a selection of fine wine and ales, which can also be enjoyed or in its beer garden.
