Wrestling superstars from around the world will dropkick their way to Knaresborough this weekend.

Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment (UWE) heroes such as Mexican El Misterio and Englishman Paul Malen will wow crowds at Knaresborough Community Centre on Saturday.

The UWE Megaslam American Wrestling event is part of the 2013 Uk Wrestling Mania Tour.

Wrestlers will fight it out in five different bouts.

UWE Megaslam American Wrestling managing director Brad Taylor said: “Knaresborough is a new destination for our 2013 tour.

“We have been looking into presenting our shows in North Yorkshire for a long time as the area has such a rich history of wrestling dating back to the ITV style of wrestling.”

He continued: “If you have only seen wrestling on TV, you really are in for a treat.

“You will see a vast range of characters in our two-hour family spectacular.”

UWE Megaslam American Wrestling tours the UK every year, presenting WWE style events, and the shows are suitable for all ages.

Organisers urge families to attend, as there is entertainment for all.

Brad said: “We bring together the very best from the world of wrestling and this show will be no different.

“You will have wrestlers from all different areas fighting it out in five exciting bouts.

“It’s going to be fantastic.”

Matches in the event include the Heavyweight Challenge, Tag Team Thriller, Championship battles and Royale Rumble match.

Other stars include UWE Megaslam Heavyweight Champion Mick Romeo, the Heavyweight Horror and Brutus Pain.
