Students light up competition
King James School’s Technical Theatre Team competed in the national finals of the Junior Ready Steady Light competition and returned home as runners-up.
They were also awarded the ‘Collaborative’ prize, given to the team that worked the most professionally and efficiently during the competition’.

Hide AdSixth-formers Max Bridge, Tom Butler, Matt Carnazza and Year 10s Chris Booley and Guy Tucker first impressed judges by lighting the front their their school, showcasing the distinctive tartan featured in the school’s uniform.
They were then selected for the finals at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London along with five other teams from across the country. They took part in four educational workshops and were set the challenge of designing and then illuminating an area of the Rose Bruford campus, using only six lanterns.
