Hazel Towers and Finlay Bunce celebrate success with CNG's Chris England and Jacqui Hall.

Commercial gas specialist CNG took a brief break from utilities to host a special open morning for two local sport stars, in honour of their recent successes.

CNG staff had the chance to meet Harrogate-based Hazel Towers, a hugely successful three star event rider with high hopes of reaching top level, four-star in 2016, and 13- year-old champion kart racer Finlay Bunce, who recently took second place in the 2015 MSA Kartmasters British Grand Prix.

The business has backed Finlay since his arrival on the circuit three years ago and starting supporting Hazel, who works full-time while juggling her talent for eventing, earlier in 2015 after reading about her success.

CNG has grown increasingly involved with developing young talent through sponsorship, work placements and community involvement.

Both Hazel and Finlay are developing a reputation in their respective fields and making waves through consistent high performance.

Hazel, who looks forward to a long, successful partnership with CNG, said: “Eventing is a time-consuming and expensive sport and I still work full-time to support myself. The backing I receive from companies like CNG is essential to allow me to reach my full potential, and I am grateful.”

Finlay said: “CNG has sponsored me since I started competing and the support has been amazing.

“I always need help with kit and travel so I couldn’t have done it without them.

“It has been great to come in and meet everyone and thank them in person.”
